This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on Kolorii.com, what they are used for, how long they are kept, and how you can accept, refuse or withdraw your consent at any time.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, which we refer to collectively as "cookies".
Some cookies are essential for the site to work and do not require your consent. Others, such as audience measurement or advertising cookies, are only set with your consent.
2. Cookies used on Kolorii.com
A. Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required)
They allow the site to work and remember your choices. They are not used for advertising or audience measurement.
Audience measurement choice (local storage): remembers your answer to our banner and, if you withdraw your consent, prevents PostHog from starting again. Duration: 6 months.
Account session (local storage): keeps you signed in if you have created an account. Duration: until you sign out or the session expires. When you sign up or request a new password, the site language (French or English) is also remembered, so that the link you receive by email brings you back to the right version; it is deleted as soon as you return.
Online coloring tool preferences (local storage): keeps your settings, your palette and your coloring in progress, only on your device. Duration: until you clear your browser data.
Advertising choices (FCCDCF cookie, set by Google): remembers your answer to the advertising consent window. Duration: up to 13 months.
B. Audience measurement cookies (with consent)
They tell us which pages and coloring pages are viewed, and help us understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. We use two tools, which only start after you consent.
Tool: Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited)
Cookies: _ga and _ga_*
Data: pages viewed, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate country, random identifier assigned to your browser
Duration: 13 months maximum
Until you accept, Google Analytics does not set any cookie on your device. Technical signals without cookies may nevertheless be sent to Google; they do not allow you to be recognized from one visit to the next.
Tool: PostHog (data hosted in the European Union)
Storage: local storage ph_* and kolorii_ph_since, containing a random, anonymous identifier; no cookie
Data: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate country, page display speed, and anonymous recordings of browsing sessions (movements, clicks and scrolling on the pages)
Duration: identifier renewed after 13 months at the latest; browsing recordings kept for 1 month
PostHog is not loaded at all until you accept. Measurement is anonymous: it is never linked to your name or email address. In browsing recordings, everything you type and your account information are masked, and your account pages (sign-up confirmation, password, dashboard) are never measured. If your browser sends the "Do Not Track" signal, PostHog measures nothing.
C. Advertising cookies (with consent)
The site displays ads through Google AdSense, which keeps it free. With your consent, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show ads tailored to your interests, limit how often they appear and measure their performance.
Tool: Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited) and its advertising partners
Main Google cookies: __gads, __gpi, __eoi, as well as cookies set from Google advertising domains (for example doubleclick.net)
Duration: up to 13 months
List of partners: available from Google's consent window ("Manage options")
If you refuse, ads may still be displayed, but they are not personalized: they are based on the content of the page you are viewing and your approximate location.
D. Embedded content
Some pages include YouTube videos in "privacy-enhanced mode". No YouTube cookie is set when the page is simply displayed. If you start playing a video, YouTube (Google) may store information on your device, in accordance with its own privacy policy.
3. Managing your consent
On your first visit, two windows may be shown to you, one after the other:
The advertising consent window (Google)
Shown to visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, it records your choice regarding advertising and advertising partners. It is provided by Google, a certified consent management platform compliant with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). You can accept all, refuse all, or choose purpose by purpose with "Manage options".
Our audience measurement banner
It records your choice regarding Google Analytics and PostHog. You can "Accept" or "Refuse" just as easily. Refusing has no impact on your access to the site and the coloring pages.
Your audience measurement choice is kept for 6 months. After this period, or if we add a new measurement tool, we will ask for your choice again.
Changing your consent later
You can change your audience measurement choice at any time by clicking on the "Manage audience measurement" link, available at the bottom of each page of the site. If you withdraw your consent, measurement stops immediately: Google Analytics cookies and PostHog data stored in your browser are deleted.
Your advertising choices can be changed with the "Privacy and cookie settings" link, managed by Google and also shown at the bottom of the page.
4. Managing cookies from your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings:

Blocking all cookies and local storage may prevent some features from working, such as signing in to your account or remembering your settings in the coloring tool.
5. Recipients of data collected by cookies
Audience measurement data is processed by Google (Google Analytics) and by PostHog, whose servers are located in the European Union. Advertising data is processed by Google and by the advertising partners you have accepted. Google may transfer some data to the United States; these transfers are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. Updates to this cookie policy
