Respecting your privacy is a priority for Kolorii.com. This policy explains which personal data we process, why, how long we keep it, who it may be shared with and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

2. Data collected and purposes

We only collect the data needed for the services you use. You can browse and download the free coloring pages without creating an account or providing any information.

Contact form

Data: name, email address, subject and content of your message.

Purpose: answering your request.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.

User account

Data: email address, password (stored in encrypted form, never readable in plain text), coloring pages added to your favorites, creation and sign-in dates.

Purpose: creating and managing your account, letting you save favorites, sending account-related emails (address confirmation, password reset).

Legal basis: performance of the service you request by creating an account.

Data: email address.

Purpose: sending you our new coloring pages and news, including new episodes of our coloring comics.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you subscribe. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time, using the link included in every email or by writing to us.

Feedback on our coloring comics

Data: your rating, what you enjoyed and your message, if you give them; your email address only if you leave it (it is optional). No IP address is stored with your feedback.

Purpose: understanding what readers think so we can improve our comics, and replying to you if you left your address.

Legal basis: your consent, given when you send your feedback.

Digital product purchases

Data: email address and payment information, collected directly by the Payhip sales platform.

Purpose: processing your order and delivering your files.

Legal basis: performance of the sales contract and our accounting obligations. We never have access to your banking details.

Audience measurement

Data: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, visit duration, device and browser type, approximate country, page display speed, random identifier assigned to your browser, and anonymous recordings of browsing sessions in which what you type and your account information are masked.

Purpose: understanding which content interests our visitors and how the site is used, in order to improve it.

Legal basis: your consent, collected by our banner. Tools used: Google Analytics and PostHog. Measurement is anonymous: it is never linked to your name or email address.

Advertising

Data: advertising identifiers, information about your browser and device, interactions with ads.

Purpose: displaying ads that keep the site free, personalizing them if you agree, and measuring their performance.

Legal basis: your consent, collected by Google's consent window. Some advertising partners may rely on their legitimate interest for specific purposes; you can object from that same window ("Manage options").

Security and proper functioning of the site

Data: IP address, connection date and time, pages requested, browser type, and technical security error reports generated by your browser (address of the page concerned, type of error).

Purpose: keeping the site secure, preventing abuse (for example mass sending of messages) and fixing technical errors.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its users.

3. Data recipients

Your data is intended for the site's publisher. It may be shared, only to the extent necessary, with providers acting on our behalf or as controllers of their own processing, including:

Receiving contact form messages: our email service
Hosting of accounts, favorites, newsletter subscriptions and feedback on our comics: a database and authentication provider whose servers are located in the European Union
Audience measurement: Google (Google Analytics) and PostHog, whose servers are located in the European Union
Technical security reports: PostHog, whose servers are located in the European Union
Advertising: Google (Google AdSense) and the advertising partners you have accepted
Sale of digital products: Payhip and its payment providers, under their own privacy policy
Authorities: upon lawful request from a judicial or administrative authority

4. Data transfers outside the European Union

Some providers may process data outside the European Union:

Google may transfer data to the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Payhip is based in the United Kingdom, a country recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection.

5. Retention periods

We only keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

Messages sent through the contact form: 1 year after your request has been handled

User account: as long as your account exists; it is deleted, together with your favorites, upon simple request

Newsletter: until you unsubscribe

Feedback on our comics: your email address, if you left it, is deleted 12 months after sending; the feedback, then anonymous, is kept for as long as it helps us improve our comics

Purchases: according to Payhip's policy and legal accounting obligations (10 years for accounting records)

Audience measurement, Google Analytics: cookies kept for 13 months maximum; detailed data linked to your browser's identifier kept for 14 months maximum, with only aggregated, anonymous statistics kept beyond that

Audience measurement, PostHog: anonymous identifier renewed after 13 months at the latest; browsing recordings kept for 1 month; other measurement data, never linked to your identity, kept for as long as needed to analyze site traffic

Technical logs and security reports: a limited period, as needed for the security of the site

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights over your data:

Right of access: obtain a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
Right to erasure: request the deletion of your data, including your account, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Right to restriction: request that the use of your data be temporarily suspended.
Right to object: object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
Right to data portability: receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format.
Withdrawal of consent: withdraw a consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Post-mortem instructions: set instructions regarding what happens to your data after your death.

How to exercise your rights?

Write to us at contact@kolorii.com. We will reply within one month, which may be extended by two months for complex requests; in that case we will let you know. We may ask you to confirm your identity, for example by writing from the email address linked to your account.

For audience measurement and advertising, you can also change your choices directly with the "Manage audience measurement" and "Privacy and cookie settings" links, at the bottom of every page.

Complaint to a supervisory authority

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr, or with the data protection authority of your country of residence.

7. Affiliate links

Some links on Kolorii.com are affiliate links: if you make a purchase after clicking one of them, we may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you.

We do not share any personal data with the merchant sites concerned. Once on their site, their own privacy policy applies.

8. Minors

The coloring pages are available to everyone, without registration. Creating an account and subscribing to the newsletter are reserved for people aged at least 15; below that age, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is required.

9. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or disclosure: encrypted connection (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, restricted access to data and protection against abuse.

As no system is infallible, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to you, we will notify the CNIL and the people concerned within the time limits set by law.

10. Changes to this privacy policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to regulations. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
