A Christmas to Color by the Fire Detailed Coloring Pages for Adults

Snow falls behind the window, the fire crackles, a mug steams on the sill. That is the Christmas our printable Christmas coloring pages are drawn from: knitted stockings above the fireplace, trees loaded with ornaments, cabins under the snow, reindeer with great antlers. Every sheet is designed as a Christmas coloring page for adults: complete scenes, fine patterns, enough to fill a December evening with a pencil in hand.

There is something for every mood. The easy Christmas coloring pages for adults, like the vintage ornaments, the stockings or the robins, have wide areas and bold lines, for a first session or for coloring alongside younger ones. The detailed sheets fill an evening. The four densest, our most intricate Christmas coloring pages (the market, the holiday table, the snowflake mandala and the patterned tree), take several sittings.

Colors

Which Colors for a Christmas Coloring Page?

Red and green have long been the colors of Christmas: holly and its berries, the fir tree, Santa's coat. But a great Christmas coloring page comes mostly from a short palette, three or four shades that work together. Here are four to try on our designs.

  • Classic Christmas

    • Deep red
    • Pine green
    • Gold
    • Cream

For the big decorated tree, the wreath on the door and the knitted stockings.

  • Frosty Christmas

    • Glacier blue
    • Midnight blue
    • Silver
    • Snow white

For the snow globe, the snowflake mandala, the reindeer in the forest and the sleigh under the moon.

  • Scandinavian Christmas

    • Berry red
    • Off-white
    • Light wood
    • Sage green

For the cabin in the woods, the Christmas market and the vintage ornaments.

  • Cozy Christmas

    • Burgundy
    • Caramel
    • Cinnamon brown
    • Moss green

For the fireside living room, the hot cocoa by the window and the cookie kitchen.

Two small habits that make a difference

  • On Christmas ornaments, leave a small spot of white paper at the top of each one: it becomes the highlight, and no white pencil is as bright.
  • For a richer red or green, layer two neighboring shades: our shades of red and shades of green list them by name, and our color gradient guide shows how to blend one into the other.
Printing

How to Print Your Free Christmas Coloring Pages

Every printable Christmas coloring page is a high-resolution PDF, free and sign-up free, that prints on US Letter as well as A4 paper.

  1. Pick your design

Filter by theme, then click a thumbnail to enlarge it and see the linework up close.

  2. Download the free PDF

The "Download PDF" button starts the file right away. No account, no email address required.

  3. Print on your paper

In the print dialog, choose "Fit to page": the drawing scales to your sheet without losing anything at the edges.

Print it well, then make the most of it

  • Paper between 120 and 160 gsm stops markers bleeding through. Standard printer paper is fine for colored pencils.
  • Print in black and white, never grayscale: the linework stays crisp and your color ink is spared.
  • On the challenging designs (the Christmas market, the holiday table, the snowflake mandala), printing on Tabloid or A3 enlarges the smallest areas.
  • Once colored, the designs make lovely Christmas cards, gift tags or a decoration to hang near the tree.

Christmas Coloring Pages FAQ

Your questions about Christmas coloring pages for adults: easy or detailed designs, PDF printing, colors and drawing rights.

Right here. Every Christmas coloring page downloads as a high-resolution PDF, free and with no sign-up. The collection is sorted into six families: cozy Christmas, snowy villages, trees and ornaments, winter animals, Christmas mandalas, Santa and traditions.

Yes. The easy ones (vintage ornaments, stockings, cat, robins, ornament mandala, snowman) have wide areas and bold lines. The detailed ones fill an evening. The challenging ones (Christmas market, holiday table, snowflake mandala, patterned tree) take several sittings.

The designs are made for adults, but the easy ones and most of the detailed ones suit teens and older kids who are comfortable with small details. For younger children, start with the simplest ones: the vintage ornaments, the stockings or the snowman.

Click "Download PDF" under the design you want and the file starts immediately. In the print dialog, choose "Fit to page" so the drawing fills your Letter or A4 sheet, and print in black and white to keep the linework crisp.

Deep red, pine green and gold make a classic Christmas; icy blues and silver give a frosty one; burgundy, caramel and cinnamon brown, a cozy one. Keep three or four shades per design, and leave a little white paper for the highlights on ornaments and snow.

These designs are made for printing. To color on screen, our online coloring tool also has Christmas designs (gingerbread house, snow globe, village, living room), free and with no sign-up.

Never. Every design is an original Kolorii creation inspired by Christmas traditions: trees, wreaths, reindeer, Santa, a wooden nutcracker. No character from a film, a cartoon or a brand appears in the artwork or in the titles.
